[Edit]Recorded in Miami and originally titled 13, Rey Sol became the 13th full-length record by Argentine rock star Fito Paez. It opens with pop/rock "El Diablo de Tu Corazon," melodic Latin pop "Lleva," and mid-tempo "Rey Sol." Mainly focused on personal experiences and controversial social issues related to his native country, Fito Paez delivers his well-known songwriting skills on the freestyle "Dale Loca," powerful "Acerca del Niño Proletario," soul-inflected "Noche en Down Town," and English-titled ballad "The Shining of the Sun." Rey Sol was produced by Phil Ramone in mid-2000.
