They may have only a single original member left in their ranks (and it's not even one of their most recognizable members, but rather, drummer Roger Earl), but Foghat continue to rock & roll along. The early 21st century saw the group reach a whole new generation of fans — due to its songs appearing on such popular home video games as Guitar Hero — and as a result, the live dates continued to pile up. So what better time than now to release the group's second live album in a three-year span, 2009's Live at the Blues Warehouse. Recorded two years earlier, the album shows that modern-day Foghat do a very respectable/respectful job of paying tribute to their heady days of the 1970s, including perfect readings of the group's two biggest hits, "Fool for the City" and "Slow Ride," as well as their amped-up cover of the blues nugget "I Just Want to Make Love to You." While certainly not the near-career defining release that 1977's Live was, Live at the Blues Warehouse manages to show that the spirit of Foghat does indeed live on.
