[Edit]Ulloa was one of the first of the new wave roots-merengue accordionists to surface a while back, and he plays the purest down-home style among them — superbly driving and melodic, but simpler and far less frenetic than, say, Fefita la Grande. Here he plays a lot of traditional material, and throws in a mangulina and a pambiche as well as merengues and the odd bolero and such.
