[Edit]Former Millions Dead punk rocker Frank Turner has proven to have a terrific touch with acoustic instruments and quieter environs that let his voice better express his feelings. “Losing Days” is a highlight from his excellent 2013 album Tape Deck Heart, and the remaining three songs are previously unreleased tunes that show just how prolific this not-so-young-anymore artist can be. Songs have been flowing through him for years, and it’s often the ones that are tossed off on EPs like this that deserve to be heard. “Longing for the Day” has a gentle parlor feel, with acoustic guitar and piano creating a lazy afternoon. “Hits & Mrs” kicks up the tempo to let Turner slide into the notes with a smoothness second to none. “Who’s Got a Match” sounds like our troubadour has met up with a pianist who takes a bit to warm up and then takes over.
