Details
[Edit]Frankie Randall reunites with arranger Marty Paich for his second RCA effort, the lively At It Again! Like all the crooner's records, it's charming but a bit fluffy, heavy on style and sass but light on substance. Randall remains a nimble stylist, well-matched to Paich's buoyant, jazz-inspired arrangements. The material is familiar, even a tad predictable, but the presentations are consistently fresh and clever, and on "Adios," the singer even duets with himself via the magic of overdubbing. The SSJ label's 2007 reissue includes the bonus cut "Samantha," dedicated to the lovely Elizabeth Montgomery's heroine on the television classic Bewitched.
