[Edit]The second full release by Future 3 is a gorgeous collection of slightly chilled downtempo techno, similar to To Rococo Rot and a few other purveyors of melancholy, pastoral electronics. Interspersing a few vocal tracks with their deep, dubby instrumentals, the Future 3 trio approach home-listening techno with an ear for mood and melody. It's a refreshing listen after the growth in experimental producers attempting — and often failing — to merge evocative atmospherics with uncompromising rhythms.
