[Edit]Recorded live at Carnegie Hall, Garrison Keillor & the Hopeful Gospel Quartet represents an offshoot of Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion radio broadcast, with many of the show's regular performers popping up here as well. The performances are straightforward versions of gospel standards mixed with more recent songs and some original compositions; almost all are prefaced by Keillor's storytelling skills, which recount his boyhood in Minnesota.
