[Edit]The 20th Door is an homage to the Joy Division/New Order legacy written and produced by Gerhard Potuznikas his first release for an American record label. As one would expect from anInterdimensional Transmissions release, it is a most generous record with four full length tracks, two bonus beats that end in lock grooves, and four independent lock grooves. Gerhard Potuznik sings on three of the four tracks as a sort of amalgam of Ian Curtis and Bernard Sumner to a very reverent effect. Of these, the opening track "Minds" is perhaps the most stunning with its dark aggression and adventurous stradling of the lines between electro, industrial, and new wave traditions. "Hydraulic Buildings" is the only full length instrumental track and its perfect electro- dance accessibility rounds out a record that is, despite its context of influence, incredibly unique.
