This obscure LP is better than it initially looks. Veteran tenor saxophonist Georgie Auld is joined by an unidentified group that includes the Jud Conlon Rhythmaires adding some unnecessary group vocals, along with some pseudo-Latin percussionists. However, Auld plays quite well in his advanced Lester Young-type style; the selections are mostly superior standards, and the overall set is both pleasant and swinging. Highlights include "You Do Something to Me," "You're My Thrill," "Love Me or Leave Me" and "Baby, Won't You Please Come Home."
