[Edit]After spending four years on tour developing his personal tribute to one of his biggest musical inspirations, George Benson put together an earnest, devoted compilation of Nat "King" Cole’s greatest songs. Like Cole, Benson started his career as a respected jazz instrumentalist before making an unexpected mid-career left turn into pop stardom as a singer. The album is bookended with two renditions of "Mona Lisa"—Benson first recorded it as an eight-year-old prodigy known as Little Georgie—and features his sensitive interpretations of songs from Cole’s extensive and timeless body of work. Included are a duet with Idina Menzel on "When I Fall in Love" and Cole’s signature song "Unforgettable."
