[Edit]Much like Grade's previous emocore releases, The Embarrassing Beginning showcases the band's ability to meld intensely produced vocals with highly charged lyrics, creating an impenetrable wall of wailing sound. This is a release sure to satisfy hardcore fans tired of cookie-cutter rap-metal. The signature sound of Grade — fierce guitar shredding and pummeling beats — is as relentless as any genuine punk act from the late '70s, and Kyle Bishop's singing is awesome in its range, delivering screams and croons at alternating turns. So far, so good for this Ontario hard-rocking quintet.
