Details
[Edit]6 Feet Deep grew out of a partnership between Prince Paul and RZA, two of the most original minds in hip-hop history. The producers linked up when both were facing interference from the record industry—RZA with Wu-Tang and Paul with De La Soul. Gravediggaz was their chance to vent their frustrations. The frequently macabre imagery of 6 Feet Deep may have jumpstarted the horrorcore genre, but songs here like “Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide” and “Diary of a Madman” are more fun, more original, and more expertly crafted than anything that came after.
