[Edit]Hot on the heels of his 2011 album III, Brazilian tech-house producer Gui Boratto and a few of his friends reheat three hearty servings of the 2006 club hit “Paralelo.” Besides kissing new life into a dance floor favorite, the single commemorates Parquet Recordings’ 40th vinyl release. Since Solee is Parquet Recordings' founder, it only makes sense for his remix of “Paralelo” to be featured first. Solee gives the already-funky tune an infusion of his rich, grooving, tech-house, with overlapping warm synth tones and effervescent percussion. Oliver Schories, who oversees the Der Teurnbeute label, gives the tune a sweeping cinematic panorama. Lush orchestral arrangements and a final third, beat-heavy treatment make this remix a gorgeous standout. Marc de Vole, Janero, and Moneo of the German trio Boss Axis close the single out with a remix overflowing with vintage keyboard chords and percolating beats that invoke elements of early-'80s electro-pop. The trio adds creamy bass tones and layers in vintage Casio-esque percussion.
