[Edit]While the Victory label forged its reputation on super-fast, scalding thrash punk (such as the kind practiced by veterans Cause for Alarm and Warzone), Louisville, KY's Guilt's six untitled second-LP tracks stake out a totally different state — that buffer zone between punishing, rhythmic/primal post-punk and metal — if leaning more toward the latter. Even vocalist Duncan Barlow screams with ashen rage in that space between. Boasting a vicious rhythm section and an angry drive that threatens to melt down your stereo, Guilt is not the sort of music we recommend you give your beloved on Valentine's Day!
