Details
[Edit]Guy Forsyth's debut album, High Temperature, suffers a bit from his unfortunate tendency to deliver lyrics as if they were jokes, but there's a lot of merit to his music. Forsyth and his backing band have real energy and can turn his originals (plus a handful of covers, like Jimmy Reed's "Mr. Luck" and Elmore James' "Done Somebody Wrong") into real barn-burners. It takes a little work to get beyond the feeling that this is all a parody, however, so this may try the patience of some hardline purists. Those that can take the bad with good, however, will hear some sturdy roadhouse boogie.
