Fiddler and vocalist Hadley J. Castille plays and sings vintage French and Cajun material, mostly his sometimes comical, sometimes autobiographical originals, like the award-winning "200 Lines: I Must Not Speak French." That song is one of 16 on his most recent CD, which is a treat for fans of entertaining, often evocative Cajun material. Castille and the Louisiana Cajun Band perform both his own traditional tunes "Panique Et Lodie" and "Cyprien Et Marie" and covers of Austin Pitre's "Chere Joue Rouge" and Nathan Bashire's "Nathan's Blues." Excellent and undiluted Cajun material.
