[Edit]While rock & roll has strayed from its original garage band roots, Halfcocked is ready to bring garage rock back to the world with their album The Last Star. Sarah Reitkopp has the sort of voice that demands attention, and with songs like "I Lied" and "Always" the listener will find it hard not to like. Musically Halfcocked plays straight rock with strong punk undertones to create songs that are energetic and actually fun to listen to. It is not uncommon to come across a guitar solo straight out of the '70s on The Last Star, and that retro feel is strangely addictive. Halfcocked embodies what a true rock & roll band should be: flashy and over the top.
