Details
[Edit]Born to Boogie is Hank Williams, Jr. claiming his reign as elder statesman over the burgeoning young-country movement of the late '80s. This is heavy on up-tempo rock tunes, including the title cut, the Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Women," and "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," originally by the Georgia Satellites. The album's centerpiece is the anthemic "Young Country," in which Williams and his like-minded musicians/friends (including Highway 101, T. Graham Brown, and Marty Stuart) engage in a singalong declaring their love for not only the classic country of Hank Williams, but equal admiration for the Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, and Van Halen.
