Details
[Edit]Two of these three New Yorkers, Mikey Jones and Matt Sumrow, are familiar from their backing of Swervedriver star Adam Franklin in Bolts of Melody, and, in Sumrow's case, also with ex-Galaxie 500/Luna frontman Dean Wareham. "Mountains Move" sounds a lot like Franklin's methodical guitar puzzlers on all of his projects (especially the magnificent Magnetic Morning), with a little of Wareham's haze, all stuck like epoxy to a slow shoegaze stomp right out of Pale Saints' "Sight of You." In other words, what's not to like? The B-side, "Falling Apple," has similar dawdling tempo like the Cure's "Seventeen Seconds," only with a gauzy, dizzying drone warping the softly cooed harmony/melody. More, please. ~ Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover, Rovi
