Details
[Edit]I Don't Know How to Love Him bore Reddy's first hit (the Andrew Lloyd Webber composition of the same name). But the moment of triumph here is an early version of "I Am Woman," which wasn't to be a success for another couple of years. Even in this restrained, embryonic incarnation, it was an anthem just waiting to happen — rousing, catchy and timely. There are songs here that are arguably better — Tim Hardin's "Don't Make Promises" and Van Morrison's "Crazy Love" — but Reddy is less suited to them as an interpreter. The big, brassy statements of "I Am Woman" and "Best Friend" (another of her own compositions) are clearly her bag; the subtlety of the other songs eludes her.
