[Edit]The challenge for a long running performer is that there's the risk that eventually listeners may feel like they've heard it all before. So his audience will find some of Helios Creed's 2000 release, Colors of Light sounding quite familiar, even though they are not re-releases. Creed dependably provides the grunge/industrial-tinged cuts that his regulars look to him for, with tracks like "Muddy," "Mace," and others. Also, of course, there's the almost obligatory-by-now science fiction references, as on "Space Drifter." Still, there are some variations. "Friend of Mine" is a pleasant surprise for listeners who enjoy Creed's softer side — a gentle composition with melodic instrumentals. So while it's more tried and true than innovative this time, still, Creed fans will likely find it enjoyable.
