Details
[Edit]Aging alternative icon Henry Rollins hits his audience with a limited-edition tour-only four-CD set of spoken-word material taken from a two-night stand in Sydney, Australia. Divided into two double-CD sets, this first volume finds Hank in full stride. It would normally be perceived that middle age would soften or slow most men down and transmogrify them into an empty shell of their former selves. However, this is most definitely not the case with Rollins, as his spoken-word delivery hasn't been this caustic in years. Spewing forth righteous truths on growing old, hating the Ku Klux Klan, sport utility vehicles, international politics, and the perception of Americans abroad, Rollins delivers the goods with a tenacity unrivaled by anyone in the spoken-word genre. Not only is this essential listening for fans of his spoken word, it's a welcome return to form and easily the best spoken-word CD release since the Quarterstick slew of releases.
