[Edit]One of the best releases to come from the A-Musik label, Fijnewas Afpompen is also the most reminiscent of Köln heroes Mouse on Mars. Over a series of plodding electro stomps, innumerable waves of clicks, clacks and explosions surf high in the mix. The highlights "Alaune" and "Kettsmarock" are busier still than Mouse on Mars' famously cluttered productions. That noted German sense of humor is on display for "Saftsocke im Zimmergarten," the illogical but hilarious fusion of Cologne-style eclectronics with hillbilly twang.
