[Edit]Homelife proves another great signing for Ninja Tune, hooking up with Madwaltz to release the third album of twisted sonica from the promising Mancunian collective led by bassist Paddy Steer together with guitarists Tony Burnside and Simon King. With over ten other, mainly multi-instrumental, contributors offering everything from percussion to violin, cello, and "despair," each track offers something different from the last, with a common thread visible through all this activity via a consistent barrage of big strings, honking horns, occasional salsa shuffle, and the vocal contributions from Seaming To and Faron Brooks. A highly enjoyable musical mishmash.
