[Edit]Space Invaders Are Smoking Grass was I-F's first full release for i.t., offering extended access to the timeless electro anthem originally released on the first installment of the label's record series From Beyond. Surely the song to forever change the label's and artist's profiles, "Space Invaders" evokes traditions in Italian disco and new wave in addition to electro with its irresistible melody, galloping disco bassline, and textured, primitive vocodered rap overtop. The track is a sharp departure from I-F's previous work in its more overt reference to "retro" influences. On this release, the original track is coupled with I-F's own "Extended Dance Remix," as it were, as well as a teaser of an instrumental version of "Secret Desire" — a song included on I-F's subsequent full-length for i.t., The Man from P.A.C.K.
