[Edit]Part 2 of Tamblyn's Four Coast Project, Raincoast focuses on the Pacific West Coast of British Columbia, a temperate rain forest area. And his audio photograph of the area is once again sublime and gorgeous. "North Island Vancouver Song" brings in new rhythms and a frenetic nature not found on Superior: Spirit and Light (Volume 1 of the Project), while "Old Voice" is again perfectly evocative of the geological ecosphere about which Tamblyn is singing. With "Green and Fireweed," Tamblyn journeys up the coast all the way to Alaska — and the music is compelling. And with "Nosta!," he incorporates elements of the Haisla First Nations band, again creating some fascinating new directions for himself to stretch into. A beautiful sonic portrait of a beautiful part of the world.
