Instead, this 2001 outing, like its predecessor, Forgotten Freshness, Vol. 1-2, is a collection of B-sides, remixes, and specialty releases. This disc should satisfy listeners interested in hearing new rhymes over old ICP beats ("Posse on Vernor," "It"), professional wrestlers working their freestyle flow ("When Vampiro Gets High"), and Violent J's attempt at new age rap ("Fly Away"). However, rock and hip-hop fans uninterested in such sophomoric musings, comic gangsta stories, and Vanilla Ice guest spots should avoid Forgotten Freshness, Vol. 3. There is nothing offered on this collection that will cause ICP detractors or supporters to rethink whether or not the Detroit duo is making a mockery of hard-hop.
