Details
[Edit]The Irish Tenors are heard largely in live performance in this collection of songs drawn from such albums as their self-titled debut and its follow-up, Live in Belfast. Although there are three singers at any given time, personnel changes result in four different voices turning up on one or another of the tracks here, some combination of Anthony Kearns, John McDermott, Ronan Tynan, and Finbar Wright. They all share attractive tones and distinct Irish accents that lend authenticity to such inevitable selections as "Danny Boy," "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling," and "Molly Malone (Cockels and Mussels)." Spirited orchestral accompaniment adds to the celebratory nature of the performances, which are greeted with enthusiastic cheers. The album sums up the appeal of the Irish Tenors, just as a best-of should.
