[Edit]This was Ismael Miranda's first independent production after over two decades with the Fania label. At this time, this is a more mature and socially conscious Ismael Miranda, as tunes like "Caretas" (composed by Roberto and Erasmo Carlos) and "El Buen Camino" (composed by Johnny Ortiz) testify to. As usual, C. Curet Alonso does wonders with tunes like the exuberant "Canta, Pueblo, Canta," the streetwise "Un Montuno Pa'la Esquina," and the delightful "Rimas de Admiración." Louis García's sure musical direction/arrangements are always commendable. It is customary that Ismael Miranda never turns in anything less than superlative.
