[Edit]A rich blend of hip-hop, broken beat, dub, and deep house infects this debut release from J Boogie and his Dubtronic Science collective. As can be immediately discerned from the package itself, Dubtronic's whole aesthetic focuses on a warmth otherwise missing from the majority of downtempo records. Similar in diversity to Recloose, the collective gets it right from start to finish. An impressive debut from these West Coast staples and a sure sign of promising things in the future.
