Details
[Edit]Howard Stern sidekick Jackie Martling's fifth album since joining the program, F Jackie is a nonstop barrage of dirty jokes delivered in Martling's manic, high-energy style. What separates Martling from other comics working similar territory is that he actually tells jokes. He doesn't rely exclusively on simple, "did you hear what he said?" shock value to get laughs; with hardly any exceptions, these are constructed jokes with setups and punch lines. The drawback is that chances are you've heard some of these jokes before; Martling still relies on the public domain for his material. But that doesn't make his performance any less impressive. After all, how many times have most people been asked if they know any jokes, and can't remember a single one, let alone an entire album's worth? Martling's near-shrieking delivery and relentlessly fast tempo may wear some listeners down over the course of 70-plus minutes, but the bottom line is that if you just want to hear some good old-fashioned dirty jokes, Martling's your man.
