[Edit]The winsome, acoustic-centered songs of Jackopierce were ahead of their time when they first reached a national audience in the early ‘90s. Partners Jack O’Neill and Cary Pierce anticipated the emergence of singer/songwriters like John Mayer, Jason Mraz, and Eric Hutchinson a decade or so later. Everywhere All the Time shows that the duo have something to contribute to today’s music scene too. O’Neill and Pierce continue to combine expert craftsmanship and heartfelt sentiment in their work while adding some contemporary sonic touches. Jackopierce particularly excel at rendering finely detailed, sympathetic portraits of women, whether the setting is upbeat (“Into Me,” “Alright By Me”), wistful (“Let Go of Me”), or somewhere in between (“Lonely”).
