[Edit]The debut EP from Jacob Whitesides, 2014's 3 AM: The EP showcases the earnest pop of the Knoxville, Tennessee-based singer/songwriter. The album comes two years after Whitesides' appearance on the second season of the U.S. version of The X Factor. Since that time, Whitesides has developed a strong online following of fans who enjoy his intimate, heartfelt pop covers. 3 AM: The EP builds upon this goodwill, with Whitesides covering songs by John Legend, Plain White T's, John Mayer, Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran.
