[Edit]Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses is Jamie Foxx's first album in over four years — the follow-up to Best Night of My Life. Although it was preceded by a pair of 2014 singles that failed to chart, the album is no change of course for Foxx. The singer serves up another helping of libidinous slow jams and funkier midtempo numbers often laced with his playful, humorous nature. Guest appearances come from Chris Brown, Wale, Kid Ink, and Pharrell Williams. As usual, Foxx seeks several beatmakers, including DJ Mustard for the Michael Jackson-referencing "Pretty Thing" — a sleek and low-key club track.
