An album of pieces dedicated to people living with AIDS, this is music of hope and humanity rather than overt raging. Giteck's music is influenced by the gamelan and cyclic music traditions, especially in the lovely "Om Shanti." "Home (revisited)" is a heart-filling piece for choir (mostly singing the word "home") and instruments, sung here by the Philandros of The Seattle Men's Choir. There is also the touching "Tapasya" for viola and percussion. See also Giteck's "Breathing Songs From A Turning Sky (excerpt)" in the collection "Music From Mills". ~ "Blue" Gene Tyranny, Rovi
