Collection is a brief ten-song compilation of Jessi Colter's hits for Capitol, including her number one hit "I'm Not Lisa" and number five hit "What's Happened to Blue Eyes." Her remaining two Top 40 hits on Capitol are included in addition to other select tracks. Colter was often associated with the outlaw movement because of her marriage to Waylon Jennings and her appearance on Wanted! The Outlaws, but none of her music here fits with the image. The tempos are generally slow and Colter's music is more reminiscent of Crystal Gayle than Waylon Jennings.
