[Edit]Modern worship music innovator Martin Smith joins youth outreach ministry Jesus Culture for this uplifting two-disc set, recorded live at New York’s Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in June 2012. As the leader of Delirious?, Smith wrote and recorded songs that have become enduring church standards. Onstage with Jesus Culture, he surveys some of his best-known compositions, including “Our God Reins,” “Show Me Your Glory," and “Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?” Reaching beyond his Delirious? catalog, Smith galvanizes the crowd with selections from his recent solo work, including the sleek, ‘80s-flavored “Fire Never Sleeps” and the contemplative, piano-centered “Song of Solomon.” Jesus Culture worship leaders Kim Walker-Smith and Chris Quilala likewise have standout moments as they offer a mix of newly composed tunes and covers by Daniel Bashta (“Pursuit”) and Darrell Evans (“I Am in Love with You”). Walker-Smith’s passionate vocals on the acoustic-centered “Holy Spirit” and Quilala’s rendition of his propulsive rocker “Forevermore” are among the standout moments here.
