This is the first, self-produced album by João Marcello Bôscoli, older son of Elis Regina and Ronaldo Bôscoli. He also invited other young sons of famous musicians to perform with him: Pedro Camargo Mariano (son of Elis and César Camargo Mariano), and Max de Castro and Wilson Simoninha (sons of Wilson Simonal). The album is overcrowded with the contemporary industry's politics, aggressive drum machine loops, and other programmable/synthesized/sampled sounds and effects — which aren't good or bad per se, but immediately define the album's audience. Lenine's hit "Acredite ou Não" receives an energetic funk rendition with brass attacks. "Carnaval e Reveillon" is a delicate ballad, where the electronic paraphernalia is more discrete and Wilson Simoninha's cool singing interesting; "Essa Menina" brings in-your-face drum machines and minimalist keyboarding; the danceable "Ventos do Norte" has brass and drum machines; "Distantes Demais" has no percussion at all, focusing in synthesized strings supporting the beautiful melody; "Seja Melhor" is a soul ballad interpreted by the author, Cláudio Zoli; "Noite do Prazer" gives Zoli's 1980s' hit a contemporary ambience; "Como Nossos Pais," a classic recorded by Elis Regina, symptomatically receives a piano arrangement that complements the lyrics, until a rock-band rendition takes over; and "Poemas" gathers three works by diverse poets, and features sound effects. The album stays focused with the decisive support of the virtuoso percussionist Marcos Suzano.
