Details
[Edit]Issued in the wake of John Leyton's first flush of success in late 1961, his first, self-titled EP featured his first pair of British hit singles ("Johnny Remember Me" and "Wild Wind") and their respective B-sides ("There Must Be" and "You Took My Love for Granted"." While the hits (particularly "Johnny Remember Me") ranked among Joe Meek's most atmospherically eerie early-'60s productions, the B-sides (both written by Meek under the pseudonym Robert Duke) were pretty pallid early-'60s British teen idol tunes. All four of the tracks have been reissued on CD, but if you want a facsimile with original artwork and liner notes, it's available as one of the dozen CD-EPs in the box set Joe Meek: The EP Collection.
