Details
[Edit]When Johnny Winter greeted the world with his debut album in 1969, few outside of Texas had heard of him. But the record demonstrated such mastery of the electric blues, and Winter was such a monster guitar player, that it didn't take long for the world to take notice. In incredibly short order, Winter landed its namesake among the blues' scene's most elite players, including Jimi Hendrix and Mike Bloomfield, with whom he played around the time of this release. His work here set the tone for a blues-rock boom still to come.
