[Edit]This One Way Records CD combines John Stewart's two RCA studio albums of 1973 and early 1975 together. This makes sense, as they captured a linear progression for the singer/songwriter out of contemporary folk and into country music, at which he had proved most effective, both on several of the first ten songs here and the concert tour that came between the two long-players: from '60s folkie to mid-'70s outlaw-style country artist. The content matches that of a more expensive Bear Family reissue, released around the same time (and still in print as of 2010), although the packaging on the latter — including full lyrics, musician credits, and some quoted interview reminiscences of the artist about the sessions — is more handsome and more impressive.
