Details
[Edit]Sony's Mis Favoritas series is known for taking its "alternative views" of artists, but this 2011 collection of José José songs is just so full of hits that it stretches the definition, and for the better. Career-defining songs like "El Triste," "Volcán," "Almohada," and "El Amor Acaba" are all here, but those last two are from the 2003 albums El Principe con Trio, a three-volume set where José's early hits were remixed with new, more intimate backing tracks. Most everything else is delivered in their most popular versions, with recordings falling between the years of 1970 and 1991, the years that the Mexican singer earned, and successfully defended, his title of "El Príncipe de la Canción."
