Jude is a clever songwriter and performer. 430 N. Harper includes songs recorded in the studio or live at Café Largo in Los Angeles. Most of the tracks are just guitar and vocal. Several of these tunes are also on his major label debut, No One's Really Beautiful. Highlights of 430 N. Harper include "In Between," "Baby Ruth in Atlanta," "Love Letters," and "Prophet," among others. While a nice album by a fine artist, it does include over 85 blank tracks followed by one "hidden track" — which is always irritating, no matter how good the hidden track is. In this case, the hidden track is not worth the wait.
