Details
[Edit]This is an ambitious new album from Judith Pintar, in which she fuses music and mythology. The album consists of three song cycles: "The Hunting of the Unicorn," "At Last the Wind," and "The Kitchen Myth of Psyche and Eros." Each of these receives lengthy liner notes from Pintar, written in engaging prose poetry as a way to draw the listener into her world of magic and myth. Her lively Celtic harp is rounded out by fiddle, guitar, cello, bass and touches of percussion to produce this elegant and evocative music. This seems to be a sincere and successful attempt to take Celtic harp out of the easy-listening mode and to re-invest it with the power and magic it once held in its native land. ~ Backroads Music/Heartbeats, Rovi
