Details
[Edit]This reissue of his second hits collection adds a few more treats than you may have heard the first time around. “Out Last Night” opens grooving on a skip-a-long beat with guitars twanging alongside Chesney’s charismatic drawl. The second gem surfaces near the end of Greatest Hits II with the triumphant “This Is Our Moment,” an uplifting, anthemic fist-pumper penned for ESPN’s college- football coverage. “Ain’t Back Yet” closes the collection sounding like a Jason Aldean number (though it was Craig Wiseman and Chris Tompkins who wrote this one). Ardent Chesney fans will recognize “Ain’t Back Yet” as it also closed his 2010 film Summer in 3D. Other standout cuts from Greatest Hits II include the inspired country-pop tune “Beer In Mexico” and “When The Sun Goes Down,” a Jimmy Buffett-influenced duet with Uncle Kracker.
