[Edit]Yost's first production album is a set of eight epic jazz-house numbers, exquisitely crafted and reminiscent of the late-night vibes created by dance producers from Larry Heard to Carl Craig. The title track, "Dreams of You," and "Hypnotic Progressions (Part 1)" are just some of the highlights, contrasting deep bass notes and intricate percussion with an excellent sense for atmospheric melodies. Though things turn a bit muzaky on several tracks (there are a few more instrumental solos than comfortable for a house album), Yost proves himself a distinctive producer, capable of conveying a deep sense of emotion.
