[Edit]Glitch-techno's child genius Kid606 and Jersey indie hip-hop crew Dälek take six tracks to remix one another's material in what amounts to an above-average attempt to re-create the complexity of Def Jux artists like Cannibal Ox. Opener "Ruin It, Ruin Them, Ruin Yourself Then Ruin Me" is Dälek's sometimes righteous flow laid over a metallic-treated horn solo from the Kid's Down With the Scene album. The "Revenge of the Circuit Burners" remix starts with a "Warm Leatherette" electro beat and warps into an amazing track with Dälek finding space between surging electronic sheets to paint an apocalyptic landscape. The two "distressed electronics" tracks, "Vague Recollections" and "Satan's Hard Drive," seem out of place here, as neither appears to feature Dälek nor fit the mood of the otherwise dark, well-planned EP. "Now I'm Completely Ruined," with an almost danceable 4/4 beat, only gives way to Dälek in a breakbeat finale, a halfhearted attempt by Dälek to toast the ills of American culture in its final special-guest moments.
