[Edit]Marantha Music is a top Christian praise & worship compilation label, and they do their best to capture the spirit of faith and patriotism for the (very) younger generation on this colorfully packaged release. There are the typical monotone, somewhat uninspiring choir-type songs that plague these kinds of projects, but here and there listeners are blessed with a few clever ideas. "Yankee Doodle Dandy" features a cartoon character voice introducing himself as the nephew of Uncle Sam, and "You're a Grand Old Flag" begins with a solo reading of The Pledge of Allegiance. "We're the Kids of America" has some kiddie conversations leading into the cheesy synth-driven song. The idea is to balance the focus on Jesus with the love of country, and the song choice is excellent. Now if only the production were a little more original.
