Four years in the making, this odd follow-up to Hanrahan's equally peculiar "A Thousand Nights and a Night" finds the composer getting even more ephemeral. It is intriguing to try to follow the meandering thread that runs through obscure recitations, loose jazz passages and wild percussive jams, but the casual listener may find it all a bit pretentious.
