Details
[Edit]Following her departure from JVC, Japanese singer Kokia relocated to Paris and joined with Wasabi Records for the release of Aigakikoeru. The music on the album follows Kokia's usual styling with an eclectic set of original compositions built around her extremely clear vocals and relatively sparse instrumentation. The songs were by and large written before the album was conceived, and she has used them in concert settings since her previous release. For Aigakikoeru, these pieces were rearranged for a warmer feeling, but otherwise largely left alone. The French release of the album (six months prior to the Japanese release) included a bonus mix of "Remember the Kiss," her initial breakout single. The later Japanese release instead included a new concert favorite, "Inochi no Hikari," and a new recording of her earliest hit (from Hong Kong) "Arigatou."
